Cruising

In the context of motor milestones, cruising refers to the act of walking while holding onto support.

Cruising typically occurs within a month after a child learns to pull themselves up to standing. This skill is very important in developing lateral ankle mobility, increasing confidence with standing, and precedes independent walking.
